Nick Tirro and J.P.Pena combined to throw a shutout at Lakeland as Fishers
claimed third in the eight team Silver Creek Invitational. The Tigers rolled
8-0. Tirro threw the first five innings and Pena picked up his first save
working the final two frames.

Ben Taylor launched a two run triple in the third to spark
the Fishers attack. The hit gives Taylor 10 RBI in the first six games of the
season. Drew Clark and John Corden also added extra-base hits during the game.

3A #3 Brebeuf downed the Tigers in the semi-final 7-1
placing Fishers in the consolation game. This contest was closer than the score
indicates. Brebeuf took advantage of some defensive lapses by the Tigers to
grab a 3-0 lead in the first inning. The remainder of the contest was an
exercise in offensive frustration for Fishers. They placed multiple runners in
scoring position on four separate occasions but could not cash in with the
timely hit.
